Review: Extra Dessert Delights Sugarfree Gum, Key Lime Pie Flavored Gum

I have been coming across the newly released Extra Dessert Delights Gum whenever I hit up a local super center. What I like about finding these particular new chewing gums, is that whenever I am checking out I manage to spot yet a new flavor in the collection of Dessert Delights.

My most recent find goes to Key Lime Pie. I absolutely love key lime pie on its own, so I was very curious as to how well Extra managed to capture the authentic taste of such a pie.

The gum is easy to spot, as it features an actual photo of a slice of key lime pie right on the package. It comes with 15 sticks of gum. The gum inside of the package is individually wrapped in an aluminum gum foil wrap and you can literately smell the key lime pie fragrance coming off of the package once you open it up.

Taste:

The first few second of chewing on Extra Dessert Delights Sugar free Gum, Key Lime Pie Flavored Gum is definitely a nice experience. The gum has an instant cooling sensation that it gives off, followed by the creamy delicious goodness of the flavor, which is very authentic to actual key lime pie. I loved it.

The unfortunate thing about Extra Dessert Delights Sugar free Gum, Key Lime Pie Flavored Gum however, is that the flavors intensity does not stick around for too long. It hits you like a ton of bricks as you first chew it, but no less than a minute later the flavor mellows down into a more creamy lime flavor. Granted you can still taste it, it is just not as delicious as it was the first few seconds of chewing.

Overall:

Although the flavor simmers down rather quickly, it is still a delightful little piece of gum, and definitely worth trying.
