True Orange was the only substitute packet that I thought I would not
like. I have never really done anything with oranges besides eat them as
a whole, or drink them in a juice form.
When I was given trial samples of all 3 True flavors which include
True Lime, True Lemon and True Orange, True Orange was the one that I
used last when I ran out of all of the other flavors. I didn't know what
to use it in!?
What is True Orange?
Sorry, I always tend to get ahead of myself. True Orange is basically a
powdered form of orange flavoring which you can add to food, or
beverages. True Orange basically captures the realistic flavoring of
oranges, while offering it to you in 0 calorie, 0 carbs, and an all
natural form.
True Orange can be dashed in to drinks or food to add a subtle natural realistic flavor or oranges.
My Use:
I was not sure how Orange substitute would taste in my cola, but I
went ahead and tried it anyway. Besides if it sucked I would suck it up
anyway. I was pretty sure it wouldn't make my cola taste horrible.
After pouring in the contents of the True Orange Crystallized Packet, I
was surprised at how nicely it went with my drink. It tasted like cola,
yet had a sweet subtle hint of Florida oranges, and I loved it!
I didn't use the other packets on food though, because I never really
cared for orange flavoring added to any sort of foods. Basically for me
the True Orange Substitute was best used in drinks. Soda, or water, even
juice gets a new pow of flavor when I added the orange substitute.
Overall:
They are good. Unless you like orange flavoring in your food though, they are best used in drinks.
Where To Buy:
I have yet to come across any of the Crystallized Substitute Packets
in stores. It turns out I have to buy them online until they reach local
supermarkets and stores.
The packets can be found sold in bulk though on Amazon, and on other sites such as this one.
