Ho! Ho! Ho! The holidays are approaching, and just about every home fragrance company already has their holiday line of fragrances packed up and shelved for consumers. Glade in particular has released some new gems, and I have to give them props, this company was borderline failing a few years ago with the lack of eye candy on shelves. Over the past 2 years though, they have revamped their home fragrance line with enticing and eye catching new products.
Glade, Peppermint Crush Room Spray caught my eye immediately, and even while sitting on a bottom shelf in the fragrance isle.
The can is a pretty ruby red, featuring 2 candy canes overlapping one another. I was not sure what to expect from it, as most companies that release a peppermint fragrance never manage to hit the mark when it comes to something people would want to smell in their homes. Glade however managed to bottle up a very uplifting scent, which definitely captured the essence of the Christmas holiday.
Glade, Peppermint Crush Room Spray smells like a candy cane, that's for sure, but it is not overwhelming or too peppermint like. It has a warm undertone of something more vanilla cream in the peppermint mix which works well, and blends with the peppermint fragrance perfectly.
Does It Last?
Many room sprays have a glorious scent when you first spray them around the room, but sadly many of them also fizzle out just as quickly as they come flowing out of the can.
When it comes to this particular holiday fragrance, the scent does have some lasting effect, however they are not very long lived. You can detect the scent if you leave the room and come back 10 minutes later, but after that, there is not much left that you will notice.
Overall:
The scent is delicious, brings in a holiday essence, but does not really stick around that long. The plus however, is that a very small spray of it floods the room quickly. If the scent could stick around for a loner period of time though, this one would have been a 5 star home fragrance. However due to it's lack in staying power, I'd flop a 3 star rating on it.

Review: Febreze Home Collection, Scented Reed Diffuser in Green Tea Citrus

-Review also on AC.
I have always liked Febreze. It's rare for me to come across a scent by Febreze that I do not like, and I actively seek out their limited edition fragrances.
This weekend though I came across a little something, something from Febreze that got me all excited. They have a new collection called the Home Collection. The Home Collection features a bunch of new goodies from Febreze; the collection includes new flame-less light up lanterns, reed diffusers and candles.
I went straight for the Green Tea Citrus Reed Diffuser.
I was not able to open the package in the store to get a hint of what the scent might smell like, but located directly on the box were one of those scratch and sniff sample stickers. I scratched the sticker and got a nice refreshing buzz of green tea and citrus. There really is no other was to describe it. The sticker smelled good, a nice mix of green tea, and refreshing uplifting citrus. I liked the scent a lot, and went ahead and splurged on the Reed Diffuser.
It came to $9.97 for those who are curious. To me $9.97 is pretty expensive for a reed diffuser. Normally I buy them for $2.00-$5.00 the most. I told myself that if the diffuser did not work well I'd pack it back up in its box and get my money back.
Febreze, Home Collection, Green Tea Citrus Reed Diffusers come packed with a nice glass bottle which contains the oil, and it comes with a bunch of reed diffusers.
At home, I opened the package, and yanked off the protective seal that keeps the oil from leaking out. Immediately the overpowering delicious mouth watering scent filled the air. I had a pretty good hunch that this powerful little number would do its job and do it well.
I placed in all of the wooden reeds, and let the diffuser do its thing. It did not take long for the magic to begin to spread through the air. The energizing green tea scent was flawless, while the uplifting citrus puts an energetic vibe all throughout the air. I would not just call this one a scented reed diffuser, I'd call it aroma therapy at its best because the scent definitely does something wonderful to the senses.
As of right now, the diffuser is placed in our kitchen, which is very, very large. Amazingly enough, the Green Tea Citrus Reed Diffuser is capable of filling the air with its scent. The scent has remained for days, and the Home Collection Reed Diffuser gets compliment after compliment from our guests. Many of them are amazed that such a tiny thing is capable of filling up an entire room in the home with such powerful delicious fragrance.
Febreze Home Collection, Green Tea Citrus Reed Diffuser works perfectly. It delivers powerful long lasting scent, and it works a heck of a lot better than I initially thought it would.
It has become my favorite Febreze product to date, and I highly, highly recommend it.

New Limited Edition Febreze Air Effects, Winds & Springtime Review

When I came across the New Limited Edition Febreze Air Effects, Winds & Springtime I was pretty excited, because I love collecting all of Febreze's newest limited edition sprays.
With Spring in the air, I knew Febreze would surprise us with a slew of floral scents. However I was only able to find one new limited edition scent, which was odd. Usually they surprise us with 3 or 4 new scents for the season. I'm hoping more and more will release as summer closes in.
Anyhow, I picked up the Winds & Springtime scent at Target for $2.50. The bottle was attractive featuring an overall purple coloring to it. The bottle itself is the same as all Air Effects. Winds & Springtime however features a photo on the bottle of beautiful tulips.
The spray nozzle is my favorite thing about all Air Effects bottles though. Instead of releasing messy dripping spray droplets, it smoothly sprays out the formula in a clean neat pattern as to where it won't soak floors or fabrics. Air Effects lightly dusts them with the spray instead.
Now when I got home to use New Limited Edition Febreze Air Effects, Winds & Springtime I was surprised at how much it smelled like the original Febreze scent, with a dash of flowers added to the mix.
Although the scent was nice, it was also way too similar to other floral Air Effects that Febreze has released in the past spring and summer months.
I still like it, don't get me wrong, but it does not smell all that new. It does however last long, smells nice, and freshens the home. It just seems like it has been done before.
