Review: Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W

I am part of a really cool program that sends me items free of charge. In return all they ask is that I try the product, keep the product, and give them feedback. Sometimes they ask that we spread the word about the product to other consumers as well.

The product up on the chopping block today is the newest Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W. You may have seen this product on quick infomercials on As Seen On TV.

Now I have never really had great experiences with As Seen On TV products in the past; this year though they seem to be banging out products that are simply to die for!

The Shark Steam Mop is one of those products. This lightweight wonder cleans all sorts of surfaces.
In our home we have tiles in the bathroom, hardwood floors in the hallways, and regular carpeting in the living room. The Shark Steam Mop managed to clean and polish up each and every surface with ease.

The mop that I got to test came with 4 microfiber cover slips that get slipped on to the actual mops cleaning head. 3 of them were all white cover slips which you can use on hardwood floors, tile, and so forth. The other slip was a shaggy purple slipcover, which frankly we had no use for, nor did we know what to use it for. We figured for drying up any left over water, but the Shark Steam Mop dries water instantly so this purple attachment slip was useless to us. It was cool they added it and all, but not really necessary.

I believe the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W that are sold in stores only come with 2 of the microfiber covers.

The white slips are what cleans every surface with ease. What we loved about it was being able to look at how much dirt it was actually collecting.

The Shark Steam Mop works in an odd way, but it's very easy and convenient. You simply add water into the machine up to the fill line, and pump the handle to get the steam mop to begin to activate.

As you push the steam mop around, you will be pumping it, which releases the steamed water.

Once the floors were clean, we could then toss the dirty covers into the wash for more future uses. I loved this because it will save us a lot of money on replacement covers. In my opinion this crafty feature alone could be the death of the Swifter Mops. No more having to buy replacement cleaning cloths!!!

When it comes to carpeting, we were honestly very, very impressed at how the mop worked. The manual claimed it would not remove stains; frankly I think they should re-write that, because it did in fact remove a large stain from the carpet that we couldn't get out with anything! That was till we got the Shark Steam Mop. I rolled the steam mop over the stain for around 5 minutes and watched as the stain got lighter and lighter, till eventually there was none at all. Large stains may take a bit more time and effort to remove it, but it does work!

Once we finished the carpet, it was as if we were looking at a brand new rug, which was major impressive and definitely not at all expected!

The Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W also comes with a rug glider attachment piece, but if you have low rugs (less shag) you won't need to use the glider. For fluffier thicker rugs though the glider addition is a plus to have.

Another feature that I have to note is the ability to flip the cleaning head to use the other side of the microfiber covers. You don't have to detach it or anything. You simply flip the mop around in your hand, and wallah, you can now clean using the other side. It feels a bit awkward at first, but it is a very convenient feature.

Overall:
 
Clean, stain-free carpets, polished shiny hardwood floors, and clean polished tiles all thanks to the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W. It is by far 100x's better than an old school mop, better than any swifter duster, and for the carpet, it was totally worth using this and not having to spend money to rent a carpet stain cleaner to remove stains we couldn't get out.

I highly, highly recommend the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop S3101W to anyone looking to clean floors faster, easier, and with much better results!
