Review: Jennifer Garant Ballerina Coffee Mug

Every time I walk into my local Marshall's the very first thing I seek out is new plates and mugs with the artwork of Jennifer Garant. Over the past few months I managed to compile quite a large collection of her fat lady kitchen plates, cups, bowls, and other accessories.

About a month ago I managed to pick up the Jennifer Garant Ballerina plate. Unfortunately the matching mug was not available. I didn't really think twice about it, I just assumed that the mug was never made.
Today however I came across one of the Jennifer Garant Ballerina Mugs while browsing for Christmas gifts. I would have loved to have gotten 2 of the mugs, as I ave been collecting a set of them for my cousin as well. Unfortunately they only had one last mug, which was on sale at just $2.00.

The mug itself matches perfectly to the Ballerina plates. It is all white, with the Ballerina artwork by Jennifer Garant on the side of the mug.

The artwork features a fat ballerina, with a bunch of bulldogs at her feet. What I love about Jennifer Grants work is that she paints these pictures of fat women in a very flattering, classy, and beautiful way. The Ballerina artwork is no exception. The fat ballerina is stunning, with her large arms pointed up above her head. Below her feet sit a bunch of bull dogs that look like they are her audience.

It's different, unique and definitely a mug anyone could appreciate, especially fans of Jennifer's artwork.

Inside the lip of the cup you will also find a very nice detailed painting of a bulldog wearing a matching tutu.

All in all, the mug is adorable and a definite must have for those of you whom have been collecting plates, cups, and other kitchen items featuring Jennifer Garant's artwork.

Where To Buy:

Many of the mugs by Jennifer Grant can be found on bidding sites such as Ebay. The prices however are way too high, especially considering the fact that you can scoop up Jennifer Garant kitchen items at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods for just $2-$3 per piece.
