Review of White's Basic Headphones

This past summer I splurged a little bit on a new hobby. A hobby that I always wanted to pick up, yet never had the time, or funds to do so. That hobby is metal detecting.

Seeing that I was a total newbie to the hobby, I needed all the help I could get. I stopped in at a local White's metal detecting dealer, and seeing that I was new, I wanted a cheaper model metal detector, and a low priced headphone set.

$700 later, and I walked out with a good mid-ranged metal detector and a basic pair of headphones. The headphones were the basic White's headphones with a nice low pricetag of just $29.99. The exact headset is now availble for even less at $24.95 at WhitesElectronics.com.

They are basic, and basic was what I wanted, seeing that the metal detector itself required a few hours of trial and error, I didn't want to waste more time on some complicated headset. I wanted simplicity, yet effeciency, and this is exactly what the basic headphones from White's delievered.

The headset fits comfotably over my head, and over my ears. It truly eliminates outside noises, which was defientley needed on loud noisy beaches during day combing.

The volume is also adjustable with the twist of a notch located on the side ear piece of the headphones. You can have the volume set on really low, or really high. The low setting in my opinion is loud enough for you to hear, buy like I said, if you are in a noise area, you can just raise the volume.

The headphones plug directly into my White's metal detector, and instantly worked with barely any need to adjust the volume. Like a plug and play set, I was happy with how things worked, and for such a low price.

The plug itself is attached to a coiled cable which stretches with your movement.
All in all the White's Basic Headphones are comfortable for extremely long use, and they work just as well as a high end headphone set.
