Review of Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair

We have a house full of dogs, and the shedding of fur is a natural normal process. Although it may be normal, it's very annoying for the humans that live in the house to have to be covered in fur whenever the dogs shed.

We used to get dog fur up with regular pet hair rollers, and rubber brushes that would remove hair from couches and clothing. However the process was long, hard, and annoying. As much as I loved the sticky roller method, the rollers never lasted long, especially for larger jobs, one sweep, and the sticky tape would be covered in fur. You couldn't get much done.

About 2 weeks ago though, while visiting my sister I noticed they had this really odd plastic device sitting on their couch. The device had a clear chamber that seemed to be full of hair! As nasty as it looked, I was intrigued by it.

It turned out this fur filled device was a Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair.

After reading the name on it, I decided to try and scoop up some fur that was on my black jacket. It worked, but it is not designed for clothing. It will however work on some clothing. You just have to stretch the fabric out in order to give the rollers that are on the device a good grip on the actual fabric your attempting to clean.

On couches though, the Pledge Fabric Sweeper was like a miracle. You run the device back and forth and literately watch as the clear chamber fills with any caught hair/fur.

I was amazed at how simple, and how effective the sweeper was.

After a quick test at her house, I went out and bought 2 for my own place.

What I love about the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair is that it works, and it works well. The chamber fills with fur, and you simply toss the entire thing out once it is full. I imagine that you could work a way to remove the plastic seal that fills with fur to re-use it. However Pledge designed it for filling once, and tossing it out. I find that wasteful though.

It would have been nicer had they made the chamber removable in order to dump any waste. I figured they would do that to make the product more earth friendly. They didn't though, and that seems to be the only flaw associated with it.

All in all though, I love the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. It removes all traces of pet hair on my furniture, and you can even use it on carpets. It's especially useful on the small mat that most of our dogs sleep on.

I would highly recommend this to anyone with cats or dogs. The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair removes all hair from fabric, and it does it fast!
