Review of the Almost Indestructible Ball

My Bull Terrier is as harmless as a fly, however hand this massively tough dog a stuffed animal, squeaky toy, or rope chew, and within a few minutes he manages to yank it to shreds.

I love his playful nature, and love the small amount of enjoyment he gets from his toys, but seriously, I got sick and tired of spending big dollars on toys that promised to withstand even the toughest of chewers.

I bought very expensive toys made of fire department hose material that promised to withstand tough chewers, I bought rubber toys that said they were made for strong dogs, and all of these toys failed...some within a few seconds.

I was at a loss, and figured that no matter what I bought, my Bully would manage to sink his teeth right through it in moments. Balls did not stand a chance. He could chew apart a basketball in just 10 minutes, and a soccer ball was lucky to have a 5 minute shelf life before he tore it into pieces.

After failing with just about every toy imaginable, I finally hit up the net in search of tough toys made for pit bulls. Although he is not a pit bull, he is in the bully family, so I figured whatever toy could withstand a pit bull, would easily withstand my bull terrier.

I came across a few awkward looking toys, toys which I knew he wouldn't other with. What dog would want a log shaped toy, that does nothing. No squeaking, just a hard log shaped toy. Yawn.

Eventually I came across numerous folks mentioning the Almost Indestructible Ball. Although they say it is 'almost indestructible', those who claimed to have used it said this ball would withstand any amount of massive chewing. Some even stated that the ball stood in one piece for nearly a decade.

I found the ball for sale at Petsmart for around $17.00 after shipping. I figured it would be my very last expensive attempt at finding my dog the perfect toy. I prayed that this ball would work, prayed he would not destroy it in seconds.

I was not sure what to expect from the ball. On the website it looked like it was made of rubber. I imagined it being really durable rubber though.

Once the ball arrived though, I was pleasantly surprised at how tough, heavy, and rugged it seemed. It was more like a thick plastic material, than it was a rubber material. I knew though, just by picking it up, that he would have a hell of a tough time ruining this ball.

The ball itself came in a red color, but to me it looked neon orange. It's 10 inches in diameter, but for those who cannot imagine it, I compare it to the size of a basket ball.

It is the perfect size for my Bull Terrier. He cannot fit it into his mouth, so he chase it and pushes it around with his paws.

When I first gave him the ball he was thrilled, and the dang thing has been his best friend ever since. It's been nearly a month since I first gave him the ball, and the ball is still as shiny and good as the day it arrived at my door.

If you have a tough chewer, like a pit bull, or bull terrier, than I cannot recommend this ball enough. The Almost Indestructible Ball is like a miracle toy for dogs like mine. You, and your dog will not be disappointed.
