Review of Glade Expressions, Fragrance Mist Starter Kit in Fiji Apple & Cardamom Spice

I received a free coupon from BZZAgent which was for a free Glade Expressions, Fragrance Mist Starter Kit. Seeing that they only had a very small selection of scents available I went with the one that was most suitable for the upcoming fall season; Fuji Apple & Cardamom Spice.

About The Starter Kit:

I have a few issues with Glades new Fragrance Mist collection. The main issue however hands down goes to the fact that in order to make the mist sprays work you will need to first purchase a starter kit. Without the kit, there is no way to spray any scent from the bottle.

The starter kit basically is the spray nozzle that you will need in order for the spray to come out of the can. You must re-use this nozzle, if you lose it, break it, or someone accidentally throws it away, you will be forced to pay more money to get a new one.

This for me is the deal killer. In our family when we run out of room spray, we simply toss it into the garbage and buy a new one. It will be very easy for someone in my home to not know that the nozzle must be saved, and just throw it away attached to the can.

I do not understand why they didn't just add these new scents to a standard spray bottle, because it works just the same, only the nozzle makes the spray come out in a more misty manner than the usual glade spray bottles of fragrance.

On To The Scent:

This product is new, very new, and sadly it offers a very small selection of scents for you to re-use. I believe there are only 3 at the moment. A lavender, apple, and a pineapple fragrance. I was hoping for more fall delights, but it is what it is, and I am sure they will add more fragrances as time goes on.

When it comes to fuji apple & cardamom spice, you get a very nice and realistic fresh apple fragrance with a lovely little pinch of spiciness. It is a scent I would use year round, but mostly it's suited for a fall fragrance.

The scent wins, but it is nothing overly spectacular, as apple fragrances have been done time and time again.

Is the scent nice? Yes. Does it stick out as a memorable favorite? No.

The Last:

I get the same amount of last from Glade's cheaper standard home fragrance sprays. Around 10 minutes, which is pretty on point when it comes to home sprays. This being a misty spray though, I expected it to stick around for a lot longer than it did.

All in all, the fall spiced apple fragrance is gone from the air within 10 minutes.

Overall:

Not worth the money in my opinion. I was glad to have gotten it for free, as I likely would have wasted a few dollars on it on my own accord.

The concept is actually stupid if you ask me. It is too easy to lose, break or throw out the nozzle which you will need to keep for your refill bottles if you plan on buying refills that is, and the scent does not last that long.

Skip it, and go with their cheaper spray bottles, which last just as long and smell just as good.
