Review of Nebula Plasma Ball: A Very Shocking Halloween Decoration

I'm a fan of odd lighting fixtures, and around Halloween time all of my odd and creepy lighting fixtures come out of their boxes, and get placed around the house for the best lighting effect.
One of my favorite lights is my large 8 inch Nebula Plasma Ball. Everyone who gets a look at this radical ball has to touch it. That's more than okay though, because this is exactly what the Nebula Plasma Ball is made for; to be touched.
The ball looks as if it has a bunch of purple and blue veins running throughout it, once you touch the ball a line of light will attach itself to your finger through the glass (don't worry though, you won't get zapped), as it gently tickles your finger.
On the inside of the light where your finger is touching a small red light will surround your finger while the lightning bolt swirls around and moves with your fingers movements. It's a pretty spectacular ball if you have never seen one.
The Nebula Plasma Ball can be found at almost any head shop or Spencer's stores nationwide, however these stores sell them in different sizes, from small to large, for ridiculous prices, even for the smaller models.
You can purchase a Nebula Plasma Ball for only $40.00 at www.scientificsonline.com. This particular ball is a nice large 8 inches with a black base, and a power adapter. Some smaller ones run on batteries, but we all know that not having to re-buy batteries is the best way to go. So make sure you get one with an AC adapter.
The hand blown glass is somewhat fragile, so even though you will want guests touching your plasma ball, make sure they do so with care, and do not place the ball somewhere where it could easily be tipped or knocked over.
This is probably one of the best interactive lighting fixtures I have. I always bring it out for Halloween parties, and my guests always seem to enjoy toying around with it for quite some time.
The Nebula Plasma Ball will still produce a static like light show even when people are not interacting with it. This ball is also always a hit with children; do make sure you monitor them while they are playing with it though.
Other precautions are to make sure you turn the ball off after a party is over, or before bed. The balls base does tend to heat up quite a bit, and although it is doubtful, it could cause a fire, so shut it off!
Besides that, the Nebula Plasma Ball has been nothing but an interesting piece, that I have enjoyed year after year during my Halloween parties. It is eye catching, an really gives the room a dazzling yet eerie Halloween vibe. It is a must have for any Halloween enthusiast.
The Nebula Ball also looks excellent on your work desk. I do recommend a smaller size though.
