I sit behind a desk most of my day, I work on the computer, and it is
rare that I ever actually have to use pen and paper to do any work here
at my job. With my hoarding nature though, I still have my plastic
organizer filled with silly pens, rubber pencils, giant pencils, and
tacky pens that have chicks on them that undress themselves when you
flip it upside down.
It's my desk right? May as well spruce it up to my likings right?
My desk though is no ordinary boring workers desk. With sea monkeys to
my left, butt hole pencil sharpener to the right, and a stapler with
more rhinestones on it than King Tut's coffin. I'm unique.
What can I say? If I'm going to be stuck behind a desk for 8 hours a day, I may as well liven the joint up!
My desk though is beginning to resemble a geeky little play-land
though, co workers envy it, and I; I am always entertained. The best
part about my desk though is that whenever a birthday or holiday rolls
around, one of my friends, or co workers will surprise me with yet
another desk decoration! How ever did they know!?
My birthday passed recently, and a few days later I come in to see a
cute little package wrapped up nice nice sitting on my desk. No doubt
this is a birthday gift.
I ripped open the paper in anticipation, and inside a tube of...
Lipstick with no lid!?!?! Man! What gives?
Okay it fooled me for about 10 seconds. This wasn't real lipstick you would apply to your lips, it was in fact a Lipstick Pen by DCI Decor. I had never heard of DCI Decor before receiving this pen, but I will say I was impressed nonetheless.
Another cool thing-a-ma-jig to add to my cluster of a desk.
The reason I loved the Lipstick Pen by DCI Decor though is because, 1.
I adore beauty supplies, and makeup. 2. It could easily stand on it's
own and fool people into thinking it was a real lipstick tube just
sitting there on my desk.
Appearance:
The Lipstick Pen by DCI Decor, looks like lipstick. It comes in a
black tube the same size a normal standard stick of real lipstick would.
The lipstick itself is a deep red, and actually pops on and off to be
used as the pens cap. Underneath the lipstick (cap) is your ball point
pen, which writes in blue ink.
The ink flows nicely, with no splats or smudging, so it's all good.
Most cool pens usually come with dried up ink. The Lipstick Pen by DCI
Decor was given to me a week ago, and still the ink runs from the point
without any trouble.
Where To Buy:
Quite honestly I have no idea where she bought it, but I was able to
locate the exact same Lipstick Pen online at Organize.com, where it is
being sold for a fair $3.49.
Recommended:
This is a really cute must have for those who are not afraid to liven
up their work desk, and for complete girly girls who cannot get enough
makeup.
All in all, the Lipstick Pen by DCI Decor is just a really cute
addition to my collection of tacky pens that I keep in my desk organizer
at work. I'm actually surprised I didn't find this one first.
