So in the previous book of the Pretty Little Liars series, by Sara
Shepard (Perfect) one of our main characters (Hanna) had a deadly
encounter with A, which nearly cost her her life.
In Pretty Little Liars Unbelievable, we find out who hit Hanna, why they hit Hanna, and finally, just finally, we find out who the infamous 'A' really is!
Since the beginning of the series no one knew who was sending the
threatening, gruesome text messages to the Hanna, Aria, Emily, and
Spencer. 'A' who knew all of their secrets, A knew their every move, and
A was no longer just making threats, she was acting upon them.
Who is 'A'?
'A' is a character in the Pretty Little Liars series that has been
harassing Spencer, Aria, Emily and Hannah since the series started, by
sending them threatening notes and text messages, instilling fear in all
of the girls.
'A' was at first believed to be their old friend Ali who went missing
in the 7th grade. When Ali's body was discovered years later though,
there was no possible way that A could be Ali.
'A' though seemed to know all of the girls secrets, secrets only Ali knew... or so they thought.
Anyhow, without giving it away, in Unbelievable, you are given the impression that A could be anyone.
It is hinted that A could be Melissa, Spencer's older sister, or maybe A is Spencer herself...besides it was Spencer who saw Ali last before she disappears
(only to be found dead years later), it could be Jenna...or maybe it is
Hanna's friend Mona, or maybe Emily's lesbian lover Maya?
Unbelievable is the fourth book in The Pretty Little Liar's series,
and by far it is probably the best one I have read since the first book
in the series, which got me hooked.
Unbelievable answers all of your questions, gives you a better glimpse into what really
happened in the past, and there are quite a few twists and turns that
Unbelievable delivers that I did not see coming; quite a few twists that
fans of the series will either love, or hate.
Not all of the surprises in Unbelievable though were thrilling, or
even exciting, but for the most part it was a quick and enjoyable read.
Discovering who A finally was, was very interesting, but I think it
could of been done up a tad more believable, with a better 'reason' as to why 'A' was doing the awful things he or she was doing to the girls.
So the ultimate questions on your mind are likely the same I had while
reading. Do the girls band together and stop A? Do they tell the police
about A? Does anybody else die? Does Hanna live? What was Hanna's
discovery that she had to tell the rest of the girls before she got hit
by a car?
I won't give away the ending, but I will say that this is not the last
we will hear of Spencer, Aria, Hanna, and Emily. According to the end,
'A' is back. What direction the series will take after this is anybodies
guess. But I'm just hoping that series 2 delivers a better punch, and a
better ending. Not that Pretty Little Liars wasn't a great series,
because it was. I just hope round 2 of the series delivers more
vulgarity, creepiness, and realistic views on things.
The main thing that bothered me most about Unbelievable was that the
deeds that A had done couldn't of been possible. That this person
couldn't of possibly been watching each of the girls every single move
247. It was a bit hard to swallow, but nonetheless enjoyable.
Overall:
Unbelievable was a fast and exciting read for the most part. All
questions are finally answered, and A's identity is solved!!!!
