I was out on the prowl for a new facial cleanser. I go through about 2
bottles of facial cleanser in a month. I'm obsessed with washing my
face, and doing whatever it is I can to savior my youth now, before I
start getting (shivers) wrinkles!
Usually I start with a cleanser and then a moisturizer. Rumor has it
that moisturizers and wrinkle creams are the key to saving face for as
long as possible. I however never stick to one particular brand.
I'm all
over the place, trying everything and anything that I can possibly get
my hands (paycheck) on.
My pick up this month goes to Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure
Detoxifying Gel Cleanser. To be honest, I was not going to buy this
cleanser because the bottle resembled the color of booger, or pea soup
puke.
Due to the lovely fact that Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure
Detoxifying Gel Cleanser had a mini sample of some micro bead cleanser
with it, I bought it. It was like a 2 for 1 deal.
Packaging:
Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser comes in a
standard plastic stand up pump bottle. However the bottle is not
attractive at all. As I already mentioned, it has a sickening puke green
tint to it, with a very noisy label on it. What I mean by noisy, is
that the label had far too much writing on it, with far too much bland
text colors on it. I barely could tell that this was a cleanser made by
Garnier.
The picture included here, is actually a lot neater looking then the bottle I came across.
The Promise:
Nothing spectacular promised here. The usual promise most cleansers
come with include the same, and more. Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure
Detoxifying Gel Cleanser gives you a basic promise, which includes
cleansing skin, while gently detoxifying, leaving skin deeply clean and
pure.
I personally was hoping for more; like pore shrinking or something.
Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser though promised
nothing of the sort. I didn't mind though, most cleansers that promise
pore shrinkage does not shrink anything.
My Use:
Well first I pumped out a few squirts of the clear gel into my palms,
and then ran some water over it. Next I scrubbed the gel into my face.
The scent was truly gorgeous. It had a nice citrusy scent followed
with a light tone of apples. I liked it, and it fit well with Garniers
official citrus scent that many Garnier fans know and adore.
Anyhow, Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser
lathered up quite well, and rinsed away without leaving any residue
behind or slick oily feeling, so all was well.
My skin felt fresh, clean, and rejuvenated afterward, so it gets two
thumbs up from me. I also liked how the scent gave me the perfect
morning energy kick that I needed.
Long Term Results:
I've been using Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel
Cleanser for a week now, and I have a few complaints. Although I love
how Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser makes my
skin feel, it does nothing for my skin during the duration of the day.
Most cleansers will keep me shine free, and oil free for the majority of
the day. Just a few hours after using Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure
Detoxifying Gel Cleanser, oil was present on my forehead and nose. Ech!
Not only that, but Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel
Cleanser doesn't protect my skin from future outbreaks. Now there are
plenty of cleansers out there that don't protect from breakouts...but
there are also plenty out there that do.
Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser gets added to
the list of those crappy cleansers that are great while using them, but
suck in the long run when it comes to protecting skin from the nasties
you face during the day.
Overall:
Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser basically has
a gorgeous energizing scent, but stops there. It does not work enough
magic to keep my skin shine free, and breakout free.

Sorry, I love you Garnier...but Garnier Nutritioniste Nuti-Pure Detoxifying Gel Cleanser just failed to impress me enough to recommend it to others.
