How Well Does Netflix Work on the New HTC HD7 Windows Phone?

When I first received my HTC HD7 Windows Smart phone, I was most excited to see how well the Netflix application worked. Luckily this application is built right into the phone, so after playing with the phone for a bit, the very first application I tested out was the free Netflix application.

I was pleasantly surprised with everything on the application, and the layout is easy to follow, and it flows smoothly on the touch screen. My instant streaming queue is also stored onto the application for me to just choose, or I can rummage through new releases, just as I would on the Netflix website and watch those movies instantly as well.

Sadly for me, I had to call Netflix to get it working because I got an error code. As it turns out, I already had 6 Netflix ready devices running the Netflix application, so I was pretty upset to have to kick it on my iPad.

Once up and running, my next test was to see how fast the application would load on the phone. At just 2 bars, I was pretty happy with the speed of the movie's start up. I narrowed it down, to an average of less than 15 seconds for the movie to start up and play on the screen, which is better and faster speeds than what I got on my XBOX 360, Wii, Tivo, and my Roku. Seeing that the Roku was designed strictly for movies running off of Amazon and Netflix, I never in a million years thought the HTC HD7 would outshine it. Low and behold, it did.

Quality on the HTC HD7 screen is simply splendid on the eyes, and looks just like a miniature version of my big screen HDTV. It so far has played 4 movies back to back without a hiccup.
Sound
 
I love how loud the HTC HD7 can get, and when you are watching a Netflix movie on it, sound is crisp and clear, and you have full control of adjusting the volume.

The real cherry on top of all of these goods though, are the HTC HD7's kickstand which is located at the back of the phone and can be pulled out. You simply prop the phone up on your desk, pick a Netflix movie and kill some time.

All in all, the Netflix application on the HTC HD7 works flawlessly.
