Fall is my favorite time of the year. The changes in leaf colors, the
holiday spiced smells of pumpkin, caramel apple, the new fall TV series,
and best of all the fall flavors.
Coffee-Mate in particular seems to release new flavors with every
season, but nothing quite does it like their fall flavors of liquid
creamers. I love my coffee just as much as I love my seasons, so
whenever a new flavor is added to their ever growing collection, I
always pick it up for a try.
This past weekend at my grocery store I came across a new bottle of Coffee-Mate liquid creamer in the flavor Tiramisu.
Tiramisu is a delightful treat that I absolutely love, and mostly I
associate this flavor with winter more than I do fall. It's one of them
desserts that are always on our Christmas dessert table after dinner.
Happy to see the flavor though, I picked it up without hesitation.
Coffee-Mate describes this flavor as ladyfinger cookies, layered in
rich mascarpone cream and sweet cocoa. Usually they do a pretty nail on
description when it comes to describing their flavors, so I had no
doubts.
Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer Tiramisu is pretty easy to locate, and it
stands out among the other coffee creamers due to it's dark purple
labeling, and of course the picture of a real slice of Tiramisu.
Once home, I quickly brewed myself a cup of coffee, added my sugar,
and then opened up the bottle of Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer Tiramisu.
Now some Coffee-Mate creamers I have tried in my time sometimes will
pour out in a chocolate colored brown, a creamy beige color, or an off
white color. Tiramisu though is the whitest white I have ever seen when
it comes to a creamer. It reminded me of watered down paint due to it's
bright white color.
The scent was nothing spectacular, it reminded me not of Tiramisu, but more like cherry amaretto.
Flavor:
The flavor, like the scent reminded me of cherry amaretto as well. It
has a sweet cherry flavoring, with a subtle tinge of what tastes like
alcohol. It's weird, and leaves a semi greasy texture behind on the
upper roof of your mouth, similar to what heavy cake frosting would do.
Oddly this texture actually made the coffee go down smoother, and wasn't
as disgusting as it sounds. Different, but not bad.
All in all Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer Tiramisu is decent. It is far
from what I would consider my favorite flavor, but at the same time it
is good enough as to where adding a few drops into your morning brew
wouldn't bother you, or ruin your cup.
Overall though, Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer Tiramisu is a flavor that
likely won't purchase after this bottle is either gone, or goes bad.
Pricing and Availability:
I picked up the smaller 16 ounce bottle of Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer
Tiramisu at my local grocery store on sale for $1.99. You can find this
flavor at grocery stores, or super centers where food is sold.
For $1.99, I'd still recommend Coffee-Mate, Liquid Creamer Tiramisu
for a try. Everyone's taste preferences are different, so you may
actually like this one a lot more than I did.
