Review of Greenies Smart Treats Petite Size

I am going to quick and blunt about this product. Greenies smart treats for small sized dogs.
-Mind you they also come in larger sizes, and shapes.

However my dos is 8 pounds. I guess I'm a bad mommy for giving one to him seeing how he was 2 pounds underweight. But it said petite. This was as small as I could find.

Why buy them? Simple. Bubbie has awful breath. Like the worse morning breath; only all of the time. Rotting carcass, decaying fish, I have more gruesome names for it... Anyways,

Bubb played with the bone for a total of 10 seconds, and ignored it afterwards for a few days. So it's probably disgusting tasting. Because Bubb is like a vacuum and will eat almost anything, unless it tastes bad.

I didn't care though. I tried getting him to chew on it by playing and teasing him with the bone for a good minute. Finally he's got it, it was like catching a fish with foul bait. He's giving it a good chomping, an hour or so. Bubbie always plays with his food before he eats it. So grand total chomping time would clock in at about 40 minutes.

He managed to chew off the entire top section; that for some reason is shaped like toothbrush bristles. I don't know the point of the shape, it's not like the dog is going to grow hands, and be able to brush properly. Lines or shapes around the entire bone would have done a better job digging into the tooth crevasse than the design given to this product.

On to the nasty part about the bone. I wouldn't, repeat wouldn't ever again buy this for my dog. My poor little rascal ended up constipated the next morning for chewing and eating only a small section of the bone.

I felt so bad for him, and will not get into details. I will however, tell you the dog yelped while trying to do his business. The stool had large chunks of green bits inside of it. That was probably why he couldn't get it out. It was not fully digested!

The bone ended up in the garbage.

How dare a company make a product that could cause harm my dog. I'm disgusted to know this product is still available. Not only could it cause problems with your dogs digestive system, but it could potentially lead to death. It's sad knowing they're still selling it, and for a rather high price too. High priced poison for you pup; is what should be advertised on the packaging. Instead, if your a sucker like me, you think 7$ for a bone! Wow! This must work great! This must be good for my dog!

Sigh*
