Candy Review: Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints

I usually grab candy while waiting in line to cash out from shopping. I don't grab the same thing every time though, I usually grab whatever looks new and interesting.

One of my most recent interesting candy finds came from Icebreakers. They always seem to have something new lined up on shelves every other month, and mostly I like what they put out there, so I didn't hesitate when I picked up a tin of Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints.

Although the tin didn't really say much about the new mints, the tin did say that these mints would support an active metabolism, with these B complex vitamins, thiamin, niacin, B5 & B6.

Whatever that means?

At any rate, I wanted to try them to see how they were.

Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints comes in a cute stand up tin, with a tin flap door on the top for easy access to the mints. Inside of the tin you will find around 30 or so of the mints, which look like the standard Icebreaker mint; white overall color round tablet, only with small specks of red and orange.

My Use:

I popped one into my mouth and was greeted with a semi sour orange flavoring. I really didn't taste much peach, but the mango was noted. More though it tastes more like an orange citrus mint than it does anything else.

The mint does bring a very slight cooling sensation to your mouth, but as far as being considered a breath freshening mint, I'd have to say it does not really do justice. Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints will leave breath slightly scented of oranges, but the scent goes away as soon as the mint is completely melted.

As far as Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints doing anything beneficiary to my health, I'd have to say no. I felt pretty much the same, but that doesn't mean it didn't do anything for me. If it did though, I didn't notice anything.

Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints are sugar free, and they do taste good, so they pretty much make for a good guilt free mint, which I think would better be labeled a candy sucker.

The tin they come in is relatively small at only about 2.5 inches tall, and an inch thick, so you can plop it in your bag or pocket without an issue. The lid also will stay on if you shut it right, so you don't have to worry about the mints spilling out all over the place in the bottom of your bag.

Overall:

Icebreakers Burn, Peach Mango Fusion Mints taste good. Although they won't do very much for freshening breath, they make for good in treats in between meals, for those who just like enjoying having something in their mouth. As far as that though, they really don't do much else. For me though, they are convenient little candies that I enjoy having on me.

You can find them in the check out candy isle of just about any grocery store or superstore. The price comes to around $1.89. It's worth it in my opinion, especially if you like that cooling sensation in your mouth.
