Just the other day I was forced to go out and buy my own toothpaste. I
used a sample of my moms hideous flavored Herbal Toothpaste; one taste
of that and I knew I had to go find my own. No way was I going to be
able to use that gunk.
I'm sort of amateur when searching for toothpaste. I usually buy what
catches my eye. Yep, typical consumer. The first thing that caught my
eye was a toothpaste by Colgate. Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste With Mini Breath Strips, in a flavor called Kiss Me Mint.
It wasn't the fresh breath promise, nor the fact that it was by
Colgate, (one of my favorite brands) that made me buy it. It was the
fact that the toothpaste looked deliciously delightful. Girly, fun, and
yum.
The color of the gel form paste was a nice deep pinkish purple, and
floating around in the perfectly girly pink paste were what seemed to be
squared flecks of glitter. Upon closer inspection though, it wasn't
necessarily shining like glitter; it just appeared to shine. The small
square flecks were actually breath strip particles.
Well hot diggity dawg!!! I needed it. Convinced myself I needed it,
convinced myself my teefisis needed it, so I bought it. At only $3.69
for a 4.6 ounce bottle I figured if it sucked, the loss was not huge.
What did irk me though was the fact that the see through stand up bottle
was the same price as a much larger 'non-see through' tube.
I went ahead and bought the see through stand up plastic bottle
though, because I assumed it would be much neater than a tube paste.
Plus I didn't have to worry about loosing any caps. -Which in my case, I
never loose the caps, I actually accidentally drop them in the toilet
often. Teehee!
My Use:
With my brand spanking new electric toothbrush in hand, I dabbed a decent amount of Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste With Mini Breath Strips- Kiss Me Mint onto my brush and went to work.
First though I took a gander at the oh so cute square strips that coated my brush. Very cool!
According to the packaging, Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste With Mini Breath Strips- Kiss Me Mint, is a mint flavored toothpaste, with a slight hint of berry.
As I was brushing though, I honestly, truly, did not taste even the slightest hint of anything
berry. Which was cool, because I often get sick of odd flavored pastes.
I was actually glad that the flavor was nothing more than mint.
I brushed for the standard 2 minutes and enjoyed every second of it.
The mint flavoring was not over powering, and the breath strips
dissolve. You really don't even feel them in your mouth as you are
brushing.
Overall:
Fresh breath for the majority of my morning! I liked it a lot, and likely will purchase Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste With Mini Breath Strips again in the future; likely in another flavor, just because I enjoy variety.
Recommended:
Highly.
Even though the toothpaste appears to be made for children, it is
actually a minty flavor that adults will love. A flavor you wouldn't
mind using day after day. With that extra fresh breath kick, thanks to
the added mini breath strips, it's a winner in my book.
