Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush 10% of Proceeds Go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

I found myself in need of a new toothbrush after I accidentally dropped mine into the toilet bowl. I've lost many plastic tooth cleansing friends this way. For some reason our freaking toilet bowl is located in the rarest of G-Force magnetic field type places; you see you will drop the tooth brush, and for some fricked up reason the dang thing will glide into the toilet bowl as if it were sucked in, defying all rules of gravitation. Alright maybe I am over dramatizing it, but truly I've dropped a lot of bristled toothbrushes into that bowl in my time.

While browsing my local CVS I found myself in the dental care section of the store. My main purpose there of course was to buy a new toothbrush. I had many options. Brushes that promised to sing in my mouth, brushes with celebrity faces on them, others with gobs of gorgeous flecks of glitter embedded into its neon color plastic, and brushes that would 'reach' to hard to reach places. I never really thought about it before, but hot damn, the toothbrush isle can be God almighty intimidating.

Then one brush stuck out. Not because it was pretty, or promised me plaque removal....none of that.

It promised me though a promise that no other brush on the rack did. It promised me that if I bought this toothbrush, that 10% of the proceeds would go to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

I didn't need to read more. I picked up the brush, and headed to the counter to make my purchase.

The Toothbrush:

Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush.

The toothbrush in my opinion is a bit clunky looking with no actual comfort grips, and a design that I could truly see slipping from my hand and landing into Mr. Poo Poo Mouth.

The Brush itself is a nice pale pink color, and came with a cute silky pink ribbon attached to it's neck. I slipped it off. I couldn't brush my teeth with it on.

The head of the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush is pretty neat and nothing I have ever used before, so I was excited. The head consists of two rotating attachments where the top attachment rotates to the right, and the bottom head rotates to the left. This allows for extra cleansing action.

On the side of the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush, there is a button that you press in to start the toothbrush. It is labeled with a pink number 2. You press it and the toothbrush will power up for 2 minutes, which is the recommended brushing time for dental care.

Below the number 2, a pink ribbon is drawn into the toothbrush.

All in all the toothbrush is very pretty looking when it is separated away from the masses of available brushes on shelves. The design of the handle in my opinion though could use some work. Perhaps some grips, or grooves.

Use:

I really enjoy using the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush because the 2 attachment heads are small enough to reach far back in hard to reach places. Many toothbrushes never make it to my last 2 wisdom teeth. The small head on the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush though makes it a hell of a lot easier.

The spinners work together like a pro, and my teeth feel fully cleansed after allowing the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush to run for it's full 2 minutes.

Overall:

At only around $6.00 for the Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush, you can't beat it. Plus you get to walk away feeling good in knowing that a part of the proceeds are going towards a great cause. I do however wish they'd donate half the proceeds and not just 10%.

Where To Buy:

I found my Orawave: The Pink Ribbon TwinSpin Toothbrush in CVS. So likely the toothbrush will be sold in other drugstores for around the same price.
