Target, Casual Home Microplush Blanket: Review My Cure for Insomnia!!!

I have suffered from sever insomnia for years, and although I find temporary cures, the ones that do work; even if for just a short time, are like slices from heaven's finest clouds. Whenever I find something worth mentioning to my fellow insomniacs, I have to spill all about it. My cure this week oddly enough has not come from a sound machine, a magic pill, or some ridiculous aromatherapy scent.
My insomnia cure actually has come from a blanket! I know it sounds absurd, but since sleeping with this blanket I have slept soundly like a freaking new born baby. I picked the blanket up for $19.99, and it is labeled as Casual Home Microplush Blanket.

The blanket comes in either green, pink, blue or gray. Although I found the colors to be a little too bright and tacky, I went with the green one, and have self labeled the blanket my tennis ball baby, because it has the same lime green color a tennis ball would...only this tennis ball baby is far from being tough, rough or hard. Like I said earlier, this blanket is as f it were stitched in heaven, because it feels like sleeping with a cloud.

It is very soft on one side, and even softer on the other. For me it is like comparing it to a delicate baby's blanket, and feels so nice, and so soothing on the skin. Drifting away to sleep has never come easier, and it's never come faster. Normally I stare up at the ceiling for hours, and hours.... and hours.

With the Casual Home Microplush Blanket though I'm out in just a few minutes.

After purchasing this blanket I knew immediately I'd be heading back to stock up on some more, because with past experiences when I have found a blanket I adored, after I washed it, it turned to crap.

I assumed the same would stand true as soon as I placed the Casual Home Microplush Blanket in the wash.

However instead of just tossing this heavens sent blanket into the wash like I normally would, I actually read the rinse instructions. I normally never follow rinse instructions, but I am so in love with this blanket that I was willing to take the time to give it that extra TLC.

The instructions can be found on a small tag sewed onto the blanket, which states to wash in warm water, and then to tumble dry on low. After tumble drying remove the blanket immediately.

I have come across numerous reviews that gave this sweet gem a bad rap by saying it pills up after washing. I did not experience this because I washed the blanket exactly as stated, and it came out fresh, clean and feeling just as soft as it did the day I got it.

Besides the luscious feel of this blanket though I also wanted to mention its size! The blanket is made in a queen size. Most super soft warm blankets I've purchased in the past have only come in smaller throw sizes. The Target, Casual Home Microplush Blanket comes in a nice gigantic size so you can wrap your whole body up into it.

Overall:

Warmth, comfort, and a cure for insomnia is exactly what this blanket has offered and I cannot recommend it enough.
