Review of Electric Fireplace with 33'' Mantle - Chestnut Finish Model SRM910-33ECN

We have wanted a fireplace in our home since we moved in 12 years ago. However with the lack of space, and funds to have a real one put into the house, we decided to finally purchase an electric one. Granted it will not have the same charm as the real deal; it surely provides the exact same type of comfort and relaxing environment that a real wood burning fireplace would. Not only that, we do not have to worry about embers flying on to the floor.

The fireplace we decided on happened on whim when we came across the Electric Fireplace with 33'' Mantle, Model SRM910-33ECN, in a Chestnut Finish. This particular electric fireplace is 33 inches in size, and has a mantel to place flowers on, or picture frames.

The fireplace comes finished, but you have to assemble it, and assembling it was actually a really time consuming ordeal. It took about an hour to fully put together; once together though, the time wasted cussing and banging pieces into place were well worth it.

The larger piece is already assembled for you, the fake logs are set behind a piece of glass, and once it is turned on the illusion of real fire begins to dance around the back LCD panel of the electric fireplace. From a distance, the SRM910-33ECN actually looks pretty realistic.

The one issue I have with the electric fireplace is that the wood is cheap pressed wood, with a nice dark chestnut finish to the wood. However do not, under any circumstances place mugs, or anything that can hold moisture, because the press wood will bubble up and be ruined.

It set a relaxing vibe to the room, and you have full control of how much flame dances in the background. Besides controls for adjusting the height of the flame, you also have controls to adjust the level of heat that comes pouring out of the fireplace.

The only thing missing is dangerous flying embers, and the crackling sound of burning wood. Other than that, this little champion is capable of heating up a room very quickly.

With cold weather knocking at our door every day this winter, we are glad we decided to finally buy one. It is not the real deal, but it certainly feels like on.

Where To Buy:

We picked this one up at Sam's Club for $119.00 back in the fall season. They still carry them for the same price, and I could not recommend one more. The fireplace will fit even in the smallest of rooms, and does not take up as much space as a real one would. For those of you with smaller apartments, this fireplace would be spectacular to have, especially during the cold season.
