R.L. Stine's Haunting Hour, Don't Think About It: Movie Review

Everybody knows that girls who dress in black and wear black eye liner, and black lipstick, with black hair is usually labeled a freak in junior high by their peers. Cassie fits this bill to the tee in the R.L Stine movie Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It. She has jet black hair with blue and red highlights, she wears all black, and her personality matches her dark dreary style.
Cassie is a 13 year old Gothic teen who recently moved to a new school, and battles other teens to win the heart of the hottest boy in school. Her battle seems hopeless until she comes across a book in a local Halloween Store, which pretty much changes everything.
The book is no ordinary book. It has a title called 'The Evil Thing'. The store clerk is more than happy to clean his hands of the book, and he sells it to Cassie for only $5.00. Cassie buys it only because it has that unique Gothic vibe to it. When she goes outside to open the book the wind stars up, and she reads a warning on the very first page. Do Not Read Aloud!
Cassie does not think much of the warning and goes and makes the mistake of reading it to her little brother on Halloween night, while her parents are away.
It seems like harmless fun, and the book itself seems more like a child's poem than it does a novel. Cassie finishes reading, and closes the book.
Within minutes you get to watch the 'evil thing' being born. The evil thing though... what does it look like; and can Cassie find a way to stop the evil thing from doing...evil things?
I will not give away the ending, but I will say this, it is a movie the whole family is sure to enjoy.
Watch and find out what happens to Cassie.
R.L Stine's Haunting Hour, Don't Think About It, is an hour an 27 minutes long. The entire movie is geared more towards younger children in the age groups of 6 to 13. It has some scary moments, but nothing so terrible that your child will remain up all night fearing the evil thing.
It is a fast paced movie and scenes jump quickly and get the point across, making it an easy to follow upbeat flick that kids and parents alike will enjoy.
Extras:
Besides the movie, buying the DVD will also include bonus footage on the making of R.L. Stine's Haunting Hour, Don't Think About It.
