I had come across blossoming teas years ago, and truly loved how unique
and exquisite these teas were. They take the tea drinking experience up a
notch by not offering just some tea leaves in a small white pouch for
you to dip into hot water.
Numi Organic Teas actually blossom, they combine the delicious flavors
of their teas with art, and frankly this one will impress those who do
not even drink tea on a regular basis. I ordered a blossoming tea online
many ages ago, and forgot all about it after trying it once. I loved
it, but I have to admit, that I hate ordering things online. I hate
waiting, and hate having to pay shipping.
Luckily for me, Marshall's must have recently began carrying Numi Organic Tea because I came across Starlight Rose White Tea.
While it is not the most beautiful blossoming tea, I was excited that
it was selling for 75% less than what I would have paid online, and I
was excited because I did not have to wait for it to shop to me. Right
there, on the shelf, wallah. I snapped up 2 boxes of it, 1 for myself,
and 1 for a tea lover in my family which I plan on saving for the
holidays as a gift.
This particular box contained 6 blossoms which can be steeped to make up to 18 pots of tea.
The best way to use these blossoming teas is to make sure you have a
clear teapot first, otherwise you will miss out on the blossoming work
of art that these particular teas deliver. It's really relaxing.
Starlight Rose White Tea comes packaged as a ball, the ball may look a
little ugly, but the beauty of it lies within this ball, and it blooms
once it hits hot water. The aroma will catch your sense just moments
after you watch the ball begin to go undone, and bloom into a beautiful
and unique little work of art.
As far as the taste goes, Starlight Rose is light, sweet, and tastes
just delicious. You do not really have to add any sugar or extras to it
once you pour yourself a cup, you can just sip and go.
All in all this particular flavor is a top seller of Numi's Organic
Teas, and for good reasons. This one is delicious, and they are really
fun to watch blossom into a mini underwater forest. One you can drink,
but do not eat the bloom once you are done.
