Review of International Delight Limited Edition Coffee Creamer: Marshmallow Mocha

The newest limited edition coffee creamer from International Delight took me by surprise. After they released their latest winter flavors, I was not expecting to see a new limited edition flavor till Spring.
A few days ago though I was surprised to come across 2 new flavors added to the collection. The first being White Chocolate Mudslide, and the one I will be reviewing today; Marshmallow Mocha.

The creamer comes in the standard International Delight pour spot plastic bottle. The labeling is relatively nice, but not really catchy to the eye. On the top right corner of the label there is a photo of a fluffy marshmallow, and a scoop of what I imagine is mocha flavored ice cream.

The reason it's easy to miss is because it's the only in the collection that does not display the photo largely like the other creamers do.

Marshmallow Mocha sounded good. I love mocha, and enjoy a few marshmallows every summer when we have the fire pit on. I figured the combination of the two flavors would be a good one. International Delight rarely disappoints.

The 16 ounce bottle came to $2.99, which for me is a bit pricey for such a small bottle. (I go through the small 16 ounce bottles fast). Sadly I have yet to see any limited flavors in large bottles. It seems they are rare where I am from...if they exist at all.

Anyhow, at home I brewed myself up a cup of coffee, opened the creamer, and gave it a sniff test before pouring it into my cup. International Delight Marshmallow Mocha smelled good. It had a definite distinct marshmallow scent that I liked, and a slight spicy chocolaty scent that was nearly drowned out by the marshmallow scent.

I poured my usual 2 teaspoons worth of cream into my coffee; because it had, after all, passed the sniff test.

I raised my cup to my lips, and took a sip.

Marshmallow Mocha has a very sweet taste to it. It had a very obvious vanilla flavoring, with a spicy chocolate after taste. It was good, but it was also very similar to their new White Chocolate Mudslide creamer.

Marshmallow Mocha though was more sweet, and had a spiced bite to it when you were finished sipping.

I don't want to say it was bad, but it also was not great. The spicy chocolate after taste was mostly what ruined it. I suppose this was the mocha flavoring. It sort of left a soury sting behind...and no, the cream was not bad. This was just the aftertaste. It was not horrible, but it also was not completely enjoyable.

Overall:

International Delight was a hit with White Chocolate Mudslide...but a miss with Marshmallow Mocha.
Again, it is not horrible, or bad...it's just not worth buying again. Nor is it even worth trying. If you want to a good one, go with White Chocolate Mudslide. It is similar, but without that odd sour aftertaste.
