Bubble Bird, for Windows Mobile Phones: One Fun Freebie!

Recently I decided to fill my HTC HD7 Windows Mobile Phone with some new applications, some I paid for and was disappointed with them, and others, oddly enough, the free applications ended up being my favorites. I'm a gamer who never has much time to tie myself down to a gaming console or PC as of late, so whenever I find a moment of free time, I go browsing through my phone for games, and a freebie game you can download right from the Windows Marketplace for absolutely free is one heck of a fun game, and totally worth the download.

The game is like many free PC and mobile games, only it uses birds as its concept.

Basically you have an array of round colored birds all nestled at the top of your screen. Below at the bottom you will have a nest of birds that hatch. Each bird a different color. Your job it to tap the screen and fling the bird up to the matching color in order to make rows of 3 in order to pop the birds off of the top screen. You can gain more points by making larger rows of matching colored birds.

The concept is very simple, however one false tap and your birds will lower down closer to the bottom, and once it hits the bottom, your game is over, which then tallies up your score. You now will have to start over.

Although the game does not sound that thrilling, it is a total time killer, and it's actually a whole lot of free fun for when you have nothing else to do.

The Sounds

Sounds in Bubble Birds are actually pretty impressive for a free game app. When your next egg hatches the sound of a cracking egg will chime off, and it sounds rather realistic adding a neat bird theme charm to the whole game. While playing the game, a rain forest like sound is played in the background, adding even more charm to the game.

The Graphics

Nothing in Bubble Birds is stellar as far as graphics go, however it is a mobile game, and for a mobile game, a free Windows Mobile game at that, the graphics are not too shabby. Your birds look like birds, and they even make little expressions on their faces to display anger when you toss a wrong colored bird on them.

Touchscreen

Everything in Bubble Birds on the touchscreen on my HTC HD7 are all responsive, smooth and accurate.

Overall

I have no complaints at all. In fact out of the 5 other games I downloaded for free, Bubble Birds is my favorite, and I find that I go back to it time, and time again to raise up my score.

So to sum it up, Bubble Birds is definitely worth the real estate on your Windows Mobile Phone!
