Review of Essential Home, Ooh La La Padded Toilet Seat

This past weekend while browsing a local KMart with a friend, we found ourselves in the bath section oogling over a new collection of bath decoration, and accessories. The collection? Essential Home Ooh La La.
My friend began piling things into the cart like a maniac. I guess if I were decorating my bathroom, I would of done the same. After all was said and done though it would of cost me nearly $200.00 for the entire collection. She was willing to cough up $200.00. I was not.

In the oh so adorable collection, was the Ooh La La Padded Toilet Seat. At first she was going to leave it, and only buy the other items in the collection. The reasoning was because the toilet seat was in fact padded, and not to mention pricey.

But truly, what is the point in re-decorating the bathroom in a new theme, if you are not going to finish the theme? So I talked her into it; trust me, it didn't take much convincing. The toilet seat is gorgeous, it sort of sells itself.

Appearance:

It's a standard toilet seat, meant to fit standard toilets. It is in fact padded, which is something that many people (for some reason) find uncomfortable. I myself like to plant my rear on a hard seat as well when doing my deeds. Padded seats always stick on hot summer days, which is gross.

Anyhow, the Ooh La La Padded Toilet Seat has the most gorgeous design on it. The color of it is white, but the lid is covered in the most vintage girly look I have ever stumbled across.

On the top left hand corner of the seat the words Ooh La La are printed out in bold black writing.

Below the writing is a very cute shelf filled with vintage perfume bottles, and soaps/shampoos. Below the shelf is a claw foot tub with pink bubbles floating up out of it. In front of the tub there is a collection of pink and black decorative boxes, (I recommend buying these boxes to add to your own bathroom).

To the left of the boxes are a pair of pink high heel shoes, with black boa towards the front of the shoe.

To the right of the boxes a pink robe hangs from a wall hook.

The overall look is this adorable pink vintage look.

We both fell in love with the toilet seat, but we did wish they would of made it in a standard hard plastic seat, and not a padded one.

Pricing and Availability:

I was already aware way before even stumbling upon this toilet seat, that it would be pricey. Most decorative toilet seats are expensive. In the store the seat comes to $16.99 and change. Online though, you can pick it up for $15.29.

Now I know you are thinking, that it is not that expensive. However it is, especially when you are buying the entire collection. Just a few items from the Ooh La La collection (and some outside items to complete the look) can cost you a whole paycheck.

You can find the Ooh La La Padded Toilet Seat at any local KMart, or online at Kmart.com.

Use:

I wasn't present when my friend re-decorated the bathroom. But I was able to see it the next day, and it was beautiful. With the whole set added to the bathroom, I can honestly say that the toilet seat stuck out the most.

Recommended:

Yes. Although the overall pink color may not look right in some bathrooms, the Ooh La La Padded Toilet Seat is a very beautiful way to re-decorate your bathroom. It gives the bathroom a very girly theme without being over the top or tacky.
