Review of Fluttery Butterfly Dream Lites Pillow Pet

We have all seen the commercial for Dream Lites, the repetitive tune they sang was so memorable that randomly I would find myself singing or humming the Dream Lites lullaby song that is played during the commercial. The moment I first saw a commercial for this spectacular looking Pillow Pet, I decided that my baby niece needed to have one.

She is 8 months old, and is absolutely addicted to looking at things that light up. With having difficulties getting to sleep at night, I wondered if this light up pillow pet would make life easier on her, and her mommy.

I figured this would go great if placed on a night stand, where the pillow would burst colorful lit up stars on the baby's ceiling.

2 weeks after placing an order, her Fluttery Butterfly Dream Lites Pillow Pet was finally in the mail.

Quality:

Just as good as the ones you see on TV, which was pretty shocking. Everything seemed durable, the material the butterfly was made of was soft, but the plastic panel which has star shapes cut into it is definitely not something meant for snuggling. We did not plan on giving it to her per say, the pillow was strictly meant to be used outside of her crib, to light up the ceiling. I suggest the same for others.

Did It Work Well?

Yes, in fact so well that I ended up ordering her a fluffy light up pillow from the same company. The Dream Lites Pillow Pet sprung to life after placing batteries into it. It works better in darker rooms, and when placed on a floor or nightstand, the stars light up the ceiling in a manner so bright that my niece was in awe, looking around the room and happily observing the new effect on her ceiling.

The neatest part about it, besides how well in captivated her attention is that the colors can be switched from yellow, blue and green, or the option to have all 3 colors working at the same time.

It will auto turn off after 20 minutes, and for my niece, 20 minutes was not enough. The moment her toy shut off, she began to cry. We ended up just leaving it on until it did the trick.

Overall:

The baby loves her ceiling, and we feel it helps get her to sleep in a faster amount of time than what we were used to.

All in all, it is a great product, and I highly recommend it. There are also other Dream Lite Pets you can choose from.
