Review: Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme

I came across a 28 ounce sized bag of Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme last winter, and these limited edition kisses are still floating around in some stores, and online for purchase. I am sure they will also be making their appearance known widely again come this winter.

So how do these limited edition chocolates weigh in?

First and foremost, these are probably the worst kisses in the limited edition collection since Candy Cane flavored kisses. I'll fill you in on why in a moment.

Packaging:

Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme comes in a poop brown colored bag. The bag at the time that I purchased them had cute little drawn on snowflakes added onto the brown parts of the bag.

Toward the bottom of the bag there is a hand drawn mug, with hot chocolate inside. They look pretty appetizing when you first get a glimpse of them.

The kisses themselves are clearly seen through the clear parts on the packaging, they are wrapped in a gold foil, with thinner swirls of a carmel colored brown running through the gold.

Appearance:

I opened one of the Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme up, and it looked like an ordinary original Hershey Kiss. I imagined I would enjoy them when I first looked at one outside of its foil.

Texture:

The Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme are pretty much the same chocolate texture the original kisses have, only the center... ugh, when you reach the malty center is when you will want to puke. The center is not as hard as the chocolate kisses outer shell. It has a lighter airy texture to it, that likely would have been decent, hadn't the hot cocoa flavor been so horrible.

What did it taste like!?!?

Well to put it short, the kiss as a whole tasted like very old chocolate. Sort of like when you open up a Whitman's Sampler you got for Christmas that you opened up, ate a few chocolates, and then 3 months later you open it up to east some that may be left over- that disgusting old chocolate flavor...Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme tastes just like that. Old, mold, and disgusting.

Yet these kisses were brand spanking new, and they still managed to taste like old chocolate. There was nothing delicious about them, nothing good to even make note of. They were straight up nasty.

Overall:

Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme taste horrible. They have an old chocolate flavor to them. I recommend that if you see them on shelves this winter, you leave them there.

Where To Find:

Likely you will be able to find Hershey Kisses Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Creme on shelves come this winter. If you want to try them earlier though (ech), you can find them online by doing a google search.
