Review: Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake

MmMmmm... Every time I walk into Sam's Club sitting on the outer candy isle shelf they always seem to have a new limited edition flavor of Hershey Kisses. Recently at Target I ran into Pumpkin Spice, and Candy Corn flavored kisses.

Before that though, I found a nice pound sized bag of Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake, on sale for only $5.98. Of course I picked up the entire bag and brought it home with me. I love dumping new flavors of Hershey Kisses into our tables candy dish and letting the family enjoy them. My niece and nephew always check the bowl for something new, so I knew these delights would go fast. My mom especially loves cheesecake, so I knew these would likely become a favorite of hers.

I myself am not much of a cheesecake lover, but I figured a small sized kiss would be good for a quick treat once in awhile.

The Packaging:
 
Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake came in a large bag with a clear window in the middle of the bag for me to look through and see what new foil wrapping these kisses were wrapped in. The bag itself features a drawn on slice of chocolate cheesecake. Clearly the bag is marked limited edition, and it is obvious that they are cheesecake flavored just by the packaging.

The kisses themselves are wrapped in gold foil, with small lines of brown swirling the gold.

Texture:
 
Before getting into how good, (or bad) the Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake were, I wanted to first discuss the texture. These particular kisses are very soft, they are not as hard as the normal Hershey Kisses we are used to. The center is a creamy colored off white, which is obviously the cheesecake. When you cut one of these in half you can also clearly see that their is a heck of a lot more cheesecake than there is actual chocolate.

Flavor:
 
For me Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake are just okay. I found that the cheesecake middle is a bit to overwhelming, and me, I'm not a huge, huge fan of cheesecake. The chocolate you barely taste. For cheesecake lovers though, Hershey Kisses Limited Edition New York Cheesecake would be perfect.

My mother and boyfriend on the other hand loved them, because they truly do taste like mini nips of actual slices of cheesecake.

Overall:
 
If you are a cheesecake fan, you will instantly be hooked to these mini delights. If not though, they are a bit too overwhelming and sweet.

Where To Find:
 
You can still find large pounder bags at warehouse clubs for less than $6.00. Some stores like Walmart, and Target may also still be selling these. They are limited edition, so get them while they are available. If you cannot find them in stores, many online candy stores are selling them for fair prices as well.
