My cousins 2 year old daughter is over every week. My mom loves
babysitting, and I love coming home from work, and having her there.
Shes like a burst of sunshine. The pint sized tot though, never comes
alone, she always totes with her, her favorite stuffed animal of the
week, and she almost always leaves them behind.
Her cool toy of this past week was her Leap Frog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush Toy, by Fisher Price.
At first glimpse the baby frog is without a doubt adorable. On second
glimpse the baby frog is more than meets the eye. You see this frog is
no ordinary plush frog...this frog is meant for learning.
The plush has a slew of buttons that can be found all over her body.
Her hand has a photo of a bright sun on one side, and a bright moon
floating in a dark sky on the other side.
When you press her daytime hand she will sing 6 songs. Not only that
the plush will also play games that involve flashing lights that the
child can press on the frogs chest of interactive buttons.
The dolls night hand; when pressed, will sing night time songs for 6
minutes without any interruptions.
Supposedly this will soothe to sleep
even the most active of toddlers. Tunes such as Twinkle, Twinkle, Little
Star will play.
The interactive light up buttons on the frogs chest will light up and
the plush will tell your child the shape of the object, and the color of
the object.
So How Does The 2 Year Old Princess Like The Leap Frog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush Toy Fisher Price?
Obviously she likes the Tad enough to carry it around with her.
However, she looses interest in the plush pretty quickly. She will blast
on the frogs interactive buttons, but she does not seem to care what
the thing has to say, because she simply punches each of the buttons,
watches the colors light up, and moves on.
She enjoys the songs that the plush plays, but she does not sit long enough to listen to the entire song.
Basically what I am getting at, is that she likes the concept of it,
but does not care enough about it to mess around with it for long
periods of time.
In my opinion though the Leap Frog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush Toy
by Fisher Price is still an excellent, and fun learning tool for young
toddlers. Even though she only plays with it for a few minutes at a
time, she can distinguish the different shapes, and colors. When she
gets the colors or shapes wrong, the plush is there to correct her, and
help her memorize.
Where To Buy:
You can pick the Leap Frog Hug & Learn Baby Tad Plush Toy by
Fisher Price up at local toy stores, or online. I have come across this
particular plush from $50.00- $155.00. I really hope my cousin got it
for $50.00 though, because any higher would be absolutely ridiculous.
Amazon seems to sell the plush for prices that should be illegal!
Ebay.com has the plush for really low prices, so Id recommend checking
there before buying the plush anywhere else.
Age Recommendation:
The age recommendation is anywhere from 12 months to 3 years.
