Rough & Rugged Solid Rubber Exerciser Dog Toy: Review

About a month ago my boyfriend and I splurged a bit on some rough play toys for out Bull Terrier. With a dog as strong as him toys don't really stand much of a chance. He loves his toys, but he tends to mess them up faster then we can buy them.

My boyfriend had his little red carry cart, and I had mine. He fills up on goods for his Bully, and I fill up on goods for my Yorkie. Sadly my Yorkie's toys end up becoming Bully's over time.

Anyhow, while shopping I took a peek at what he was buying, and I nearly died when I saw what I thought was a frigging ribbed rubber vibrator in his cart. I had to laugh, I couldn't help it.

What the hell was that thing?
 
A Rough & Rugged Solid Rubber Exerciser Dog Toy, was what it was. The toy seriously looked like something some horny housewife would shove up her you know what.

It's basically a solid pale pink colored rod. The rod has small rubber balls all around it. I suppose this is for healthy teeth, but for me, the toy was not something I would feel comfortable with our dog walking around with in the yard. The neighbors would think the dog got hold of someones dirty little closet secret.

Once I was able to laugh off the fact that the Rough & Rugged Solid Rubber Exerciser Dog Toy looked just like a dildo, I shrugged and realized it was a pretty durable...ummm...toy. If he wanted to buy it for the dog, thats his business. Someone as perverted as my boyfriend, I was surprised he didn't see the comparison immediately.

At Home:
 
Bully is more of a plush dog, but when given a toy he will still mess around with it and try destroying it right away.

Once he was handed his rubber...um...dog toy, he seemed happy. He took it away and went to his cage to begin gnawing at it. I had a hunch that this toy would withstand his chomps, but I mean really, do all the durable dog toys have to look like sex toys!?

So the day goes on, and sure enough the Rough & Rugged Solid Rubber Exerciser Dog Toy was still in one piece. He didn't even manage to rip any of the small rubber balls off of it, which was pretty shocking. Usually he sinks his teeth into things like that and rips them off with ease.

Another day goes by, and Bully is upstairs walking around with his um... dog toy. My brother was quick to spot the ridiculous looking thing hanging from his mouth, and of course he noticed the similarities. He began laughing hysterical saying the dog had a dildo.

Once my boyfriend heard that he didn't want the dog to have the toy because the dog was now getting picked on because of it.

We let Bully keep it though, because he seems to like it, and it has withstood any torture the dog puts on it.

Although the Rough & Rugged Solid Rubber Exerciser Dog Toy is embarrassingly similar to a dirty sex toy, it is one hell of a high quality made dog toy.
