Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy: Review

Our Bull Terrier rips through toys like strippers do clothes. It's disappointing and annoying, especially when you spend more money on something that promises it's made of high quality material, that even the strongest of dogs can't rip through.

When I came across Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy, I thought I had found the ultimate Frisbee for our big guy. I didn't have to read the promise to know that it was a rough toy. I felt the material, and all seemed tough. Everything was stitched with heavy duty nylon string. I knew that our Bully wouldn't get through this Frisbee. No way, no how.

Appearance:

The Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy is a disc with a hole in the middle for easy gripping. It is green in color and has pretty little flowers printed on the fabric. The fabric though feels as if it is made of some extremely durable tear proof material. The sides are made of tough black nylon trim for added support.

According to the tag, it was sewn with 2 layers of cross stitching, 2 layers of linear stitches, and the black nylon trim is sewn with 4 stitches. The disc has a grand total of 7 stitches.

Not only did it all sound high quality and durable, but it also felt durable. I didn't like the fact that it was made with fabric, but I will be honest, it was the most durable piece of fabric I had ever felt come out of a dog Frisbee.

I spent $12.00 on it at Petco, and although the price was high, I assumed in the long run it'd be worth it seeing how we were buying him a new Frisbee every 2 weeks on average.

Not only id the Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy feel high quality, but it also came with 4 different areas in the ring that had built in squeak toys. This worried me because I knew if Bully was going to get through this toy, it would be solely to remove the noise makers. He has issues with destroying things that make noise, just so he can have the squeaker. It's his form of doggie OCD.

Bully's Use:

She's got me a toy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! A toy, a toy, a toy, oh boy!

I yanked off the tag and handed the Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy over to Bully who looked like he was about to have a heart attack if I didn't hurry up and hand it over.

3 hours later and with some outside play, the Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy was still in mint condition, aside from some drool and dirt.

Once my boyfriend got home I told him all about the wonderful rip proof ring. When he went into Bully's cage to take a look, all I heard was 'ripped'.

You have got to be kidding me. He brought the Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy in to show me the punctures.

Bully had managed to yank some of the black nylon edges off of the ring. He also managed to yank up some of that wondrous stitching that was sewn into the green fabric.

Although the damage was not severe, it was pretty fast, for something with such great promises.

It took him about a week to fully destroy the Vip Products Tuffie's Ring Dog Toy.

It was the biggest waste of $12.00 I had ever spent on a dog toy.
